This marks the beginning of a new adventure!

06 Jul

First, some context for those of you who may be reading my blog and have not heard about my summer adventures. Over a year ago, I looked into learning some Hebrew, and started memorizing some and looking into the best way to learn it more. My final conclusion was that the best way to learn Hebrew is bu going to a Hebrew Ulpan in Israel. This is a class that is intense and accelerated, teaching people Hebrew who don’t know any. I received my passport in December of 2012, and at this moment I am sitting at the gates in the Chicago O’Hare Airport. I got here by bus, below is a picture of my family tying to espy me through the tinted windows as I departed.

And below is the view I have right now.

So as you can see, I am headed to Israel today, and I have a layover in Rome, Italy. I’m already faling into the tourist traps by paying $8 for the wifi to post this. 🙂

It is very overcast here in Chicago, so I’m hoping for some sun as as we get above the clouds later on. I had no problems with the TSA, it was all very quick.

Stay tuned – I’ll be making more posts as interesting things happen to me over the next eight weeks!

I am so happy for you. In the family picture of them watching you on the bus, it looks like you Dad is leaning on it for support!!

This is exciting, Josh! May the Lord use you in Israel in some way!
That was a sneaky picture you took! We could not see you thru the
      tinted windows!

I’m anticipating good things Josh! 🙂 I will be praying for you each day, may the Lord use in some wonderful unexpected way. (which is the way He seems to work a lot)
