I’ve been back from Israel for a month and 1/2 now, and this past week being a break week, I have finally reached the point where a post here has become a high enough priority for me to address.
My trip to Israel was a great experience for many reasons. I learned a lot of Hebrew, which will be a continuing interest, and which I try to maintain by “speaking in tongues” to my fellow dorm friends and annoying them somewhat. Occasionally I get some Spanish in return. The written language is so firmly pressed int my mind I think it would take a lot of work to forget it, and the spoken I must continually practice.
The experiences I had in Israel, and just being able to feel what it was like to be in a completely different culture was also very beneficial. I enjoyed riding to public transportation, walking through the town, and meeting others from all over the world. Being able to visit famous locations in the Holy land was a great experience, and one I am not prone to forget.
I have more pictures I plan to upload one day when I have time, and many of them will bring back to my mind all the interesting things that happened.
